Hey ya'll - just bought halo, and amen
Hi everyone,
I received my Spektra Halo today, and the Stigma Amen is in the post
I was wondering if anyone had any tips/tricks info on these machines that would get the best out of them
Haven't had chance to use the halo yet, and believe it has the 3.2 mm stroke-
The Amen is coming with the 10watt motor
and comes with 3mm and 3.8mm strokers
Anything would be greatly appreciated
Have a dragonfly 2.6mm stroke for b/g - but pretty comfortable with that

oooooo-kaaaaaay then
No one has got one of these machines that could impart some knowledge?

I have a Halo and mainly use it for solid colour, I use the 3.8 cam at around 8v and it works a dream. It can have a bit of vibration to it but nothing a fat steel grip won't solve, I also run it with no give.

Cheers seanaskew,
Any info is gratefully received

Forgot to mention that if your Halo is a new one I believe they have a lot less vibration to them, or I could have just dreamt that. I have used mine with the 2.2mm (?) cam for black and grey and it's pretty good for that too, but I have 2 HM machines set up specifically for that so the halo is only really used for solid work.

Why would that be Sean?
Sounds like there would be something out of balance to cause such vibrations

Don't get me wrong the vibration on mine is not a big deal, I think they improved the slide which made it a lot better. I'm not 100% on this but I'm sure I read it somewhere on here. Regardless of which model you have it's a top machine.

Knows Whats Up!
The 3.2 is amazing at everything other than power lining. You can run single pass 14RS lines with a halo easily using the 4.0 cams. The 3.2 is fast enough for bng, and punchy enough for solid color. I have 4 or 5 halos and they're awesome machines. Tighten down the vice as hard as you can. I've had them for years and won't sell them. 8.5-9.5 will do it all (using a Critical) Give is there if you need it but only on thinner older skin or bones do I ever use it.
