Can the grip be bagged or covered to avoid getting fluid between the cartridge?
    If so, how?

Ive tried using a clipcord sleeve and it doesnt allow enough room to get the cartridge in there. Maybe I need to use a thinner plastic?

I would think that you would have to set that up through your power supply.

    K. I haven't used the rpg yet, but i do know they suggest plastic wrap, and some people do use the sandwich bags, because the corners work well for the cart

What I've been using since day one is seran Wrap for packing. Like the 3M type. It's about 4"-5" wide and it's really stretchy. I wrap my grip while stretching it and bringing it close to the lip.

I layouts the RPG really good because it copies the ergonomic profile of tube allowing me to get a good hand grip.

To cut it off just stretch and pull and it will cut off while sticking to the grip without the need to use tape to secure the end of wrap to the tube.

Here is what I'm talking about.
Impermeable, so works great as barrier. It's the same thing I use to wrap my arm rest after placing a bib on the rest part.
